March 2009 We have recently acquired Catherine Brown’s services in relation to renovating and staging our home for sale. She has provided exemplary professionalism in all aspects of the process starting with a 20 page written document outlining the various details that required our consideration. We were particularly impressed with her communication skills and her attention to detail. She offered multiple levels of service depending on our comfort level. Her choice of colors and accessories were very appropriate for the market we were trying to target. Catherine participated perfectly with the team of painting and general contractors to help coordinate outcomes. She also worked independently by purchasing staging and accessory items on our behalf. August 2008 Thank you for all the creative input and referrals to landscaping and a handyman. I have decided to go with Megan and Bren to do the lawn and the gardens and their handyman to do the porch. I liked your suggestions and will be putting most of them into action. April 2008 I hired Catherine to give the Seller of the home, a consultation, re helping her to stage the home for the sale . She met with the Seller, giving her lots of suggestions and ideas to aid with the sale. The Seller took Catherine's advice, and did all the work herself. The home looked great already, but was greatly enhanced by the changes. There was an accepted offer on the 2nd day of showings! Thanks Catherine , Marg Petznick |

I can definitely say that your advice and consultation proved very useful in helping me present the house for sale, by giving me inexpensive tips for improving the appearance, without it being necessary to go to the added expense of total staging. August 2007 Just a short note to thank you again for all your assistance in staging my listings this year. My sellers are thrilled and they recommend me to others because I offer your services. My staged listings sell in 30 days or less, faster than the average London Realtor, and for 99 to 0ver 100% of the asking price, which is again above the London average!!! Buyers only see what is presented to them, not what a sales person can tell them to imagine, otherwise all buyers would be decorators. As you are always saying, "show off the space, not the stuff". I have learned a lot from you about Staging my listings, but the service you provide cannot be replaced. A professional with your standards is invaluable to any seller or Realtor. June 2007 I just wanted to write to thank you for your help with the sale of my house on Victoria Street. I would like to congratulate you on the suburb choice of furniture and accessories with which you decorated the house. I thought your choices were perfect for the style of house and the colours I had chosen for my rooms. As you are aware, I was having difficulty getting offers on the house despite it being beautifully decorated. Numerous showings brought much interest but no offers on the property. I feel that this was because it was more difficult to envision yourself living there as having no furniture after moving out did not show the house to it’s true potential. I am very pleased to inform you that shortly following your staging, I had a one time showing that produced an offer and indeed a sale on my property. Thank you again for your expert advice. February 2007 We gave Catherine the keys to a house that was absolutely unsaleable because of the condition the homeowners left it in when they moved out. In fact, we actually told her to leave her shoeson. But we knew it had potential as it was located on a highly desirable street in prime Old North. Catherine arranged for it be painted in warm neutral colours, thoroughly cleaned, and staged well within our targeted completion date, despite the first winter blizzard that dumped three feet of snow right before staging day. She kept us informed of the progress but didn’t involve us unnecessarily in the details. The final touch was when we were pleasantly surprised to find a large vase of fresh white tulips on the dining room table just in time for our first open house – without having to call or ask for it. January 2007 It was a very interesting experience. Working with Catherine was a joy as our home received her immediate attention, from start to finish. Staging a home is definitely the way to go when trying to sell a home. If your home is empty, as was ours, it definitely helps people visualize how they will use the spaces. August, 2006 Catherine, at Staged to Move did her usual amazing job of pulling together our last listing. It was simply not saleable in its current condition. She threw herself into the project and in no time had the house ready for Internet photographs and a virtual tour; both showing the property off beautifully. June 30 , 2006 We were having to move in a week due to a change of employment. We have two small children, so, as you can imagine, our home was in no condition to be sold. While my clients feel a bit overwhelmed at the prospect of tackling all the items on your list, they were certainly receptive to what you had to say. Thank you for lending credibility to many of my own suggestions, as well as for your insight into areas of staging that I'd never considered. You reinforced the importance of "distilling the chaos" that results from daily life. People are often reluctant to spend more money (and effort) on a home that they intend to leave, even when they recognize the need. Your professional, tactful, and objective approach to staging takes much of the pressure off the Realtor by helping the homeowners to see the value of a little sweat equity. I haven't been in the house since you passed on the recommendations, however, the new pics and the virtual looked pretty good which was done after your assessment. Obviously, they took some of the recommendations to heart. I was pleased with your report which was honest and pointed but in a nice way. Sometimes, it's easier to have a 3rd party involved. Avoids the potential for unnecessary conflict in a realtor/vendor relationship. John Henderson |

January, 2006 Just wanted to let you know that our house sold the evening after the first showing. What a great testimony of all the hard work that goes into selling a house. Your immediate attention and expertise was greatly appreciated. I was very impressed with the quick and very professional feedback presented the next day after viewing the house. Your ideas, are well thought out. I especially liked your idea to take up all the area rugs, as to show off the hardwoods. They showed up great in photos and the virtual tour. I heard there were comments like "they sure know how to get a house ready for selling"....your suggestions just added that special touch.
